The Implementation Of Informatization In Manufacturing Enterprise Based On Windchill

The development of a country's manufacturing industry is one of the important indexes to weigh its comprehensive national strength and an important factor to distinguish less developed countries and developed countries. China's manufacturing industry is started relatively late than developed countries in Europe and America. After decades'rapid development, manufacturing industry gradually transformed from the original imitation to the creative manufacturing. Enterprise information served as the basis of creative transformation, which has drawn more and more attention. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is regarded as the most advanced product data management concept in the world, which has already successfully took the root in China. An increasing number of domestic manufacturing enterprises began to expand their international businesses. The implementation of PLM has also become a critical means to help enterprise informationize. The sooner the implementation of PLM, the more benefits will bring to the enterprise.The paper aimed at the implementation of information technology in manufacturing enterprise and apply Windchill system and related technologies to the construction of information platform in Dalian locomotive enterprise; custom-develop Dalian locomotive Windchill system business process; explore the MBOM as the key product data lifecycle management method and apply product data classification management method to specific operation. At the same time, the author developed the information system interface of SAP, Cero, CAPP, MDM, and optimized Windchill system installation and system performance.In this paper, the author took the implementation of informatization in manufacturing enterprise based on Windchill as subject and the development of Windchill system platform as research content. Through exploring the methods of the application of information technology in Windchill system, gradually realized Product Lifecycle Management of product development data; promoted the management level of product development; strengthened the ability of respond to market demand, thus, enhance the competitiveness of manufacturing enterprises comprehensively.
