The Research On Workflow Technology And Its Application In Enterprise Information Management

Along with the information technology unceasing development, it also increases in application of the business management scope. And it has much more advantages of implementation for workflow management system in enterprise than the traditional enterprise information systems. Then illustrates the general steps on actual building enterprise workflow management system through graphic descriptions and examples of the compatibility analysis method.In the third chapter, emphasizes the certain limitations of traditional ERP, as well as the ERP nowadays tendency of development, which is unioning with workflow technology. This technology brings new vitality to the ERP. Finally through the real diagnosis analysis method explains the advantages and change of a company which enforced the new ERP system based on workflow technology.Although the technique can be used in many aspects, but it is proposed mainly related with the process concept. Today, in the development process of thinking of enterprises management, the business process reengineering is a new thought which receives much attention. Workflow technology enforcing in business process reengineering can be proved very useful and efficient. In this chapter, mainly introduces how the workflow thinking carried on the implementation of reengineering. Then it shows the actual reorganization process through the real diagnosis analysis method.Finally, after completing the theoretical frame work, it also describes the immature application of workflow technology and the future development direction, as well as gives the suggestion of the scientific direction to the enterprise. Workflow technology as a information technology-based means, itself has absolute superiority to achieve ideological and process management; Workflow management system as a information management system's development and derivatives, is a more adaptive tools to realize the enterprise's information management system. On the other hand, the real challenge to workflow technology comes from the immature factors of itself, therefore, it needs for more in-depth research.
