Research On The Process Quality Management Of Offshore Oil Platform Production Based On Lean Production

As China has been making significant progress on offshore oil exploitation, offshore production output is increasing with years. However, the management on offshore platforms are yet too rough while the operating costs are rising with years, which resulted from production equipments aging, high staff turnover rate, weak echelon construction, huge stress on production output, and the government's tightening demands on safety and environment standards. The operating cost reduction and production efficiency promotion are urgent problems to be solved on offshore platforms. The core concept of lean production is to eliminate all kinds of vain labor and waste, importing the lean concept into the routine production management on offshore platforms, applying lean production methods and tools to improving offshore platforms' production processing flow, equipment maintenance, and field control, etc, to eventually reduce cost and promote efficiency.The thesis tries to apply theories and methods of lean production to one certain offshore platform's production condition as well as the problems. Combining the features of offshore platform's process type production, analyses and demonstrates the necessity and viability of carrying out lean production management, and makes plan for offshore platform' s carrying out lean production of flow type. By practicing lean production tools such as “5S” field control, visual management, TPM, TQM, improves offshore platform's field fundamental management and equipment maintenance, paves the way to lean production, and put lean improvement into effect in two ways, by optimizing process flow and by maintaining equipment in different classifications. The essay tries to provide references for other process type enterprises' researching about lean production application in the country's petroleum industry after practicing lean production management on offshore platforms.
