With the acceleration of reform and opening up to the outside world, China has surpassed Japan as the world No.2 economy. During the progress, the entry of foreign-invested enterprises and foreign capital investment in China has become one main impetus to drive China's economy. On the other hand, with the accession to WTO, a great number of Chinese outstanding growth-up enterprises have gradually joined in oversea investment. The globalization of world economy has become one irreversible trend, therefore, transnational investment management is the only way for sustainable development of Chinese and oversea outstanding enterprises. Under this background, the following research is of great significance, namely, how to well manage cross-cultural enterprises, how to face the challenge of different languages,behaviors and ways of thinking and finally realize the strategic goals of enterprises based on the coexistence of cross cultural discrepancy.Taking the operational management of transnational enterprise A in China's investment for example, this thesis attempts to study the practical application of cross-cultural management theories and their impact on corporate management.This thesis is divided into 6 chapters. Chapter 1 describes the research background,purpose and scope, and outlines research methodology and structural arrangement.Chapter 2 introduces some theories on cross-cultural management, laying a theoretical foundation for the following research. Chapter 3 and 4 focuses on the analysis and discussion of the current issues in cultural structure of the Chinese enterprises invested by transnational enterprise A as well as in their cross-cultural management. Chapter 5 brings forward some proposals on how enterprise A shall strategically adjust its corporate culture, and provides solutions to the current issues in cross cultural management. Chapter 6 makes a conclusion about the overall research and makes a forward looking on the practices and direction of cross-cultural management theories in transnational corporate operational management.
