With the improvement of living standard,the number of cars in our country keeps increasing,which makes it convenient for people to travel.At the same time,the casualties and property losses caused by traffic accidents are also increasing.Vehicle intelligence can effectively reduce the accident rate,and vehicle-mounted radar is an important component of intelligent cars.Its research has been focused on by major automotive manufacturers and research institutions.At present,the frequency bands used by vehicle-mounted radars are mainly 24 GHz and 77 GHz.Among them,24 GHz vehicle-mounted radars are mainly used for short-distance applications,and 77 GHz vehicle-mounted radars can be used for both short-distance and long-distance applications.As an indispensable part of wireless system,antenna performance will directly affect the performance of the whole system.As an automotive electronic application,vehicleborne radar needs to have low loss,miniaturization and other performance.The antenna system used in the vehicle radar also needs to meet the above characteristics in the design.After a long period of research,the traditional antenna system has a complete theoretical system and technology.The development of wireless systems requires the introduction of new design concepts and techniques in the field of antenna research.Substrate Integrated Suspension Line(SISL)combines the characteristics of the traditional waveguide mounting wires and overcomes the inherent shortcomings of the waveguide mounting wires.The low loss characteristics of the new dielectric integrated mounting wires are conducive to the realization of the high gain of the antenna array and the integration between the antenna and the system.And the metal hole between the devices can effectively improve the isolation,forming a good electromagnetic shielding effect.In this paper,the 24 GHz antenna array based on SISL platform is studied,and the 24 GHz edge-shooting and end-firing antennas are designed for vehicular radar respectively.The main contents of this paper are as follows:First of all,the significance of this paper is briefly described.At the same time,the domestic and foreign literature is investigated to understand and study the main structure used in the design of 24 GHz antenna array and the various measures to improve the performance of the antenna array.Then,the paper introduces the traditional waveguide mounting wire and SISL structure,and compares them to highlight the advantages of SISL structure.Then,the related theory of antenna is studied in this paper.Combined with electromagnetic simulation software HFSS,the design of 24 GHz end-firing antenna and side-firing antenna is completed,and the processing test is carried out.The measured results show that the operating frequency band of the eight-unit Uslot antenna Array ranges from 22.8 GHz to 27.8 GHz.In the frequency band range,the gain of the antenna array is greater than 12.5 dB,the gain at 25.45 GHz is 14 dB,and the maximum sidelobe level is-12.5 dB,the E-plane half-power beam width is 34°,and the H-plane half-power beam width is 24°.After integrating the Butler matrix,the antenna can complete a beam scanning of ±44° with four scan angles of ±12° and ±35°,respectively,with a gain greater than 12 dB in the scan range and a maximum sidelobe level of-11 d B,Meeting the requirements of the indicators.The measured results show that the operating frequency band of the Vivaldi antenna array is in the range of 20.5GHz to 28 GHz,the E-plane half-power beam width is 22°,the H-plane half-power beam width is 88°,the gain is 11.5 dB,and the maximum sidelobe level is-15 dB,Meeting the requirements of the indicators.
