The location of neuron projection can reveal the neuronal projection passways. With that information, researchers can find out some clues to determine the type and function of target neurons.Scientists in Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics has developed a fluorescence micro-optical sectioning tomography system based on time delay integration camera(TDI-fMOST).TDI-fMOST is a new powerful tool for studying neuron projection. In the TDI-fMOST image set, researchers not only can reconstruct the whole 3D neuron morphology at synaptic level, but also can mark and count the boutons or spines on neurites. However, the total file size of a whole brain image set is at 10 TB level.Such a massive image set has brought great challenges in image processing, and made the study of locating the neuron projection be a very difficult and cumbersome work, which needs a lot of manual processing. The location work in TDI-fMOST image set can be divided into three parts: image preprocessing, manual reconstruction and marking boutons, locating the projection region.Based on previous studies, the thesis has worked in those three parts, and summarized some requirements. To solve those requirements, the thesis has developed four softwares preliminarily and choosed one commercail software. With those softwares, researchers can do the work of TDI-fMOST image preprocessing very fast, and can reconstruct and mark in an order way.In the end, they can acquire a rough result about the location of neuron projection. The total amout of codes of the four self-developed softwares is about 7000 lines. Most of those codes have been accessed software copyrights. The thesis developed those softwares using object-oriented languages. Thus, those softwares are easy to extend and maintain. All of them have been used in the research work of the thesis.
