Terahertz wireless communication has a wide range of application prospects in high-speed communications and is an important development direction in the field of terahertz technology research.It has unique advantages over other waveband communications.Using an external modulation method is an important means of terahertz wireless communication,and an appropriate terahertz source can be selected according to the performance of the external modulator to increase the system transmit power.This paper mainly studies the implementation of the baseband link in the terahertz communication system using OOK modulation,and uses FPGA to complete the design of the communication baseband link in the system.The research work of this dissertation adopts an electrically controlled terahertz wave modulator designed by the research group.The modulation method selects the OOK amplitude modulation.The modulator has a good modulation rate and depth and can fully meet the system communication requirements.Based on the terahertz wireless communication system built with the terahertz device selected,a system implementation scheme for the baseband of the system communication is studied.The main research contents and results of this paper are as follows:1.Firstly,according to the communication requirements,the structure diagram of the entire terahertz wireless communication system is designed,and the OOK modulation technology,the communication baseband processing technology and various module functions used therein are briefly described,and the software and hardware platforms used in the communication baseband link are determined.2.Completed the research work on the working process of the baseband data transmission module at the transmitting end and the receiving end of the system.The sending end completes the work of coding the source and coding of the baseband signal,and the receiving end completes the corresponding decoding work and uses A/D conversion.The module converts the received analog signal to a digital signal.3,study the communication baseband overall logic function implementation program,and then according to the program completed the FPGA implementation of the USB 3.0 interface module to connect the PC and FPGA.study the USB 3.0 interface module and PC communication required configuration,and prepare the sender andreceiver,respectively The end FPGA controls the USB 3.0 interface module program,performs functional simulation verification and board-level testing,and successfully establishes a communication link between the PC and the FPGA.4.Completed the design of the transmitter convolutional encoding module,the HDLC framing module,and the receiving Viterbi decoder,HDLC deframing module and FPGA implementation work.In addition,studied the working mode of each port signal during encoding and decoding,and the working principle of framing and de-framing modules,and adding CRC check codes to check transmission errors,and on this basis complete the FPGA control work of each module.5.Set up a platform of baseband data transmission,test it,and verify the function of each module.The result shows that the sending end and the receiving end implement communication and the functions of each module have implemented in hardware.
