With the development of 5G technology,many applications such as VR,AR and vehicle networking having high demand for bandwidth and delayhave been proposed.At the same time,the popularization of the terminal have caused huge traffic.They willbringthe traditional LTE/EPC network new challenge.Furthermore,it will cause new problems to the traditional IP network mobility management technology,which promotes the research of mobility management technology in future flat network architecture.The distributed EPC network architecture based on SDN is one of the most representative research in the flat network architecture,which has the advantage of architecture on the mobility management.However,the research on mobility management based on SDN distributed EPC architecture has just started.Although IETF's proposed distributed mobility management(DMM)technology provides relevant research ideas,the research on many key issues is not sufficient.Therefore,this paper makes a further study on the main problems existing in the mobile service obtained from edge network scenario of mobility management technology in distributed EPC network architecture based on SDN.The main achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)Firstly,the distributed EPC network architecture based on SDN was introduced.Then,the handover of the main PEGW(edge gateway)under mobile service obtained from edge network scenariowas analyzed deeply in mobility management,combined with the distributed mobility management method.And the mathematical models of delay,including the preparation,execution and completion phase of the handover process were established.(2)Based on the simulation experiment,the necessity and feasibility of delay optimization in handover execution phase were demonstrated,and the optimization strategy was put forward.The optimization strategy includes two parts.The first is to advance the beginning of data preparation phaseto the handover preparation phase.The second is to use the centralized control capability of SDN to take the data replication and forwarding mode instead ofthe indirect tunnel data forwarding mode.(3)Further,the distributed EPC mobility management scheme based on SDN is designed and implemented in detail.Finally,the delay test experiment of the proposed scheme is carried out on the NS3 simulation platform,which verifies the effectiveness of the optimization strategy.
