MOOC(Massive Online Open Course)is a new mode of online teaching which has those main features: large-scale users;high openness to learners;various and interactive online course resources;economical online learning without limitation of time and place;diversified learning evaluation methods.In addition,these features of MOOC can not only be suitable for its future development requests,but also solve the problems of previous platform in distance education of Lanzhou University,such as,imperfection of the functional design,the old course form,the teaching activities lacked interactivity and participation,the simple evaluation methods without flexibility.In order to promote the opening-up and development of distance education in Lanzhou University,the thesis proposes the idea of constructing the learning platform based on MOOC pattern for meeting the actual requirement of distance education of Lanzhou University.The thesis' main research work has been implemented,as follows:Firstly,it comparative analyzes the development of online education courses' mode and the current situation of domestic and foreign MOOC platform;researches the existing problems and deficiencies of the previous platform for distance education of Lanzhou University,and then summarizes the positive effects of MOOC pattern on the current and future teaching business.By teasing out the relationship between each business,analyzes the requirements of system functional design and so on.According to certain design principles,the previous system functions are integrated and optimized,and the operation flow of each teaching business is reasonably planned,and then system architecture,business function and data structure,etc.are designed in details.Secondly,after the system design is completed,the system is stable and reliable by the systematic testing;it can meet the requirements of teaching business.When the number of concurrency comes to 8,000,the system has a fluent response and stable operation,which basically meets the expected demand of the platform.Online exam and online assignment submission are the peak stage of system users' concurrency.By testing,when the number of concurrency comes to 15,000,the system has a fluent response and all function is stable.There are no problems such as slow running or system failure.According to the data of the official launch operation,the annual normal rate of the platform is 98.36%.Thirdly,by means of the design and implement of MOOC platform for Lanzhou University' distance education,the previous platform's function has been improved;the online course resources has been enriched;the interaction and participation of teaching activities has been enhanced;the online learning experience has getting better.In addition,the platform can meet the needs of nearly 100,000 teachers and students;it has also provided all-round support to carry out teaching business management.Finally,the thesis summarizes the work of constructing and implement the MOOC learning platform,it found that the platform existed some deficiency.In order to realize the sustainable development of MOOC platform,it has come up with some ideas for the next step of work in future.
