MOOC, namely the Massive Open Online Courses. In 2012, the top university of USA launched online learning platform, offerred free courses on the Internet for all the world lovers learn. Especially famous for Coursera, edX, Udacity, known collectively as "the three carriages" of the MOOC. The appearance of MOOC has brought a revolution to the traditional mode of education and subversion, therefore, the New York Times of USA referred to 2012 as the "year of the MOOC".The wind of MOOC sweeps the world,the universities of China flocks to MOOC.The platform is based on MVC (Model View Controller) programming design patterns, uses the PHP language and MySQL database develop the online learning platform. New computer technology and software programming technology are used in this platform. The platform is based on connectivism learning theory, on the basis of the platform of network education,combined with the learning characteristics of the MOOC platform. The goal is to create an online platform which is convenient and active for learners to learn.This paper first introduces the development of MOOC, the characteristics of domestic and foreign MOOC platform, online learning platform design theory and technology.Then carries on the demand analysis and functional analysis, elaborates the function and the design of the online learning platform,and technology. Finally,I do some research on the online learning platform for MOOC application,the main research is the storage and concurrent access problems of large-scale curriculum.According to the study, the platform has many functions,such as online learning, publishing courses, management courses, online examination,online discussion and other functions, which is an online learning platform for MOOC.
