Design And Realization Of Dissertation Management System Of Xian Eurasia University

Graduation thesis is an important composition of the syllabus and means for academy-industry cooperation.It helps improve the hands-on experiences of students as well as the academic and research capability.With the increasing college enrollments,the workload of managing the thesis paper also increases.Since the undergraduate-level thesis management is often time-consuming and involves many people such as the departmental staff who is responsible for the thesis,the faulty who directs on the thesis and the student who writes the thesis,the management becomes complicated and difficult to implement without the auxiliary computer-based systems.The development of digital campus can solve the all procedures in the thesis management.According to the work flow of thesis management at Eurasia University,Xi'an,the author explores the world-wide trend of writing thesis and developed the thesis management system which is combined with the digital campus conditions.This paper focuses on the job requirements of people,namely students,dissert tutors and academic affairs staff and introduces a varieties of functional models including notice management,writing progress management,work flow management,staff management,paper management,transcript registration and system management.The system solves a series of problems,such as the thesis paper work planning allocated by the teach affairs department,the thesis topic approved by the directing faculty and discipline head,the matching of student and directing teacher and registration of student scores into the teaching affairs system.This system has the innovation of allowing teaching affairs staff to examine the thesis process and completion.This system applies B/S which is a three layer model,uses the up-to-date.net4.0 technology and C# language to integrate the logical coding at the backstage.The utilization of JSP technology to realize the UI design at the front-stage and SQL SERVER 2012 at the backstage ensures the data security and stability.The UI design accords with the style of the university;in order for user-friendly application,the system has the expandable and maintainable characteristics,which can satisfy the future development in the future.
