In order to meet the requirement of the Internet in the future and resolve a series of problems exist in traditional Internet,many new network programs are proposed.Universal Identifier Network is one of them.Universal Identifier network proposes identity and location separation.Two different address spaces are used in Access Network and Core Network respectively.The different address spaces are mapped by identifier mapping mechanism,which enables Universal Identifier Network to provide better security and mobility support.In the meanwhile,the research of multicast has always been a hotspot,and several SDN multicast routing solutions have been proposed during the past few years.After investigating relevant protocols in traditional Internet and SDN,this paper designs a multicast routing protocol based on control and forwarding separation mechanism for Universal Identifier Network.We expect to ensure user security,data security,forwarding equipment security and support mobility.The main contribution of this paper is:(1)analyze the need of multicast routing protocol in Universal Identifier Network;(2)design multicast routing protocol based on control and forwarding separation mechanism;(3)design the multicast routing system;(4)implement the verification system and do tests on it.To test the feasibility of our protocol,this paper constructed the testbed of Universal Identifier Network,and developed on Multicast Management Center,Core Router and Access Switch Router.Then the function and consistency of the proposed protocol were tested.The test results show that the control layer could calculate the multicast route effectively and correctly and send the routing messages to the routers on chosen paths.While the forwarding layer could install correct multicast entries from Multicast Management Center.Compared to existing multicast protocols,the control and forwarding separation mechanism is able to ensure better security and reliability.
