With the rapid development of mobile wireless communication,the demand for communication services is becoming more and more diverse.In order to adapt to the trend of network development and meet all kinds of new needs of users,the future wireless network will be the integration of all kinds of wireless communication networks.However,in the existing wireless network conditions,the network devices often have strong vendor dependence,which seriously hinders the development of wireless communication network.By using Software Defined Network(SDN)technology to achieve separation of control and forwarding,it is conducive to flexible,rapid deployment and implementation of new technologies and new applications on different physical devices.Therefore,in view of the difficulties of cross network handover under the heterogeneous coexistence scenario of wireless communication network,SDN technology is used to develop flexible and controllable software platform to verify the performance of key technologies.The main contributions of this paper are as follows:1)In view of the current wireless access network equipments which have strong hardware dependence and lack of flexibility and extensibility,a centralized control method of heterogeneous network based on software defined network(SDN)technology is proposed,which supports the flexible switching between LTE and WiFi heterogeneous networks.2)Further,based on the OpenFlow protocol,the virtual IP technology is proposed to shield the difference between the different access networks and separate the control flow and the data flow,so as to autonomously control the heterogeneous network routing.The heterogeneous network controller software based on SDN is developed and the performance of the proposed method is verified by combining the SDN switches and reconfigurable wireless network hardware devices.The experimental results show that the response delay of video service is less than 100 milliseconds.
