Abstract/Summary:
Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET)has great value in military and civilian communications,but due to its purely distributed characteristics,each node in the network must independently make routing decisions and adapt to the rapidly changing network topology.Thus it has encountered bottlenecks in guaranteeing network quality of service(QoS).Software Defined Network(SDN)provides a solution to the above problems.By introducing the SDN controller,which is logically centralized,the global network topology and resources can be obtained to make more reasonable decisions.So far,more and more researches have introduced SDN into MANET.However,there is currently no flexible and convenient simulation platform for researchers to use,which leads to additional time for researchers to create a simulation environment or reproduce the OpenFlow protocol.In order to reduce the research or development time of researchers and help them work efficiently,this thesis focuses on building a simulation platform of Software Defined Mobile Ad Hoc Network(SD-MANET).Firstly,this thesis analyzes the characteristics of mobile ad hoc networks,designs mobile nodes structure for software defined mobile ad hoc networks,and uses out-of-band networking to introduce SDN controllers into mobile ad hoc network by modifing the existing simulation platform.At the same time,in response to the need for control nodes to regulate the transmission power of ordinary nodes,a corresponding process is designed and implemented.Secondly,this thesis aims at solving the problem of multi-hop transmission between mobile nodes in the simulation platform.With reference to the 802.11 wireless data frame format,this thesis makes the SDN controller use OpenFlow1.3 protocol to modify the MAC address of the data frame header in order to complete multi-hop transmission between mobile nodes.And this thesis finally implement the approach in the simulation platform.Finally,this thesis studies the problem of topology discovery in software defined mobile ad hoc network,gradually explores and designs a topology discovery algorithm and finally implements it in the simulation platform.
