Additive Manufacturing(AM),as a new technology of manufacture,behaves better in less material consumption,shorter production cycle and more flexible structure design.Relevant researches and applications about Additive Manufacturing were increasing rapidly in recent years.However,there are still some problems need to solve,the first is uncertainty of forming parts properties.Compared with the performance of the traditional manufacturing parts there is a certain gap,parts formed by AM often need to be further post-processing.Existing studies have shown that processing parameters in Additive Manufacturing have obvious influences on the performance of parts,but most of them remain in the qualitative analysis and lack of quantitative study.In addition,the comprehensive cognition of process parameters'impacts on property performance is absent,and the effect of single energy density on the properties of formed parts has no exact research.Therefore,based on selective laser melting(SLM)process printing experiments of 316L stainless steel material,this paper is studying on the influences of energy density and the related processing parameters on density and tensile strength of the forming parts.They can be included in the following points.(1)Study on effects of various process parameters on the properties of SLM forming parts,and focus on the influence of laser power and exposure time which are often adjusted in SLM machine.(2)Study on the influence of different energy density and the same energy density with different processing parameters on properties of SLM forming parts.(3)Establish regression model with the energy density as independent variables and process parameters related to energy density as the independent variable respectively,for a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between energy density as well as various process parameters and the properties of SLM forming parts,and then compare the advantages and disadvantages and applicability of the two methods.
