With the rapid development of science and technology,the role of radar in various military and civilian industries is becoming more and more important,ranging from vehicle navigation in daily life to military millimeter wave phased array radar,etc.The forms of radar are becoming more and more diverse,and application field is getting wider and wider,at the same time the updating speed is getting faster and faster.Though the type of radar changes,the receiver is always an important part of the radar.The main function of the radar receiver is to filter out the interference,amplification,frequency conversion and other processing of the weak echo signal reflected by the detection target received by the antenna,and extract useful target echo information.The weather radar receiver mainly filters,amplifies,and down-converts the weak RF signals reflected from the atmosphere and sends them to the terminal signal processor.In recent years,as the frequency of sudden catastrophic weather has increased,the application requirements for small weather radars with high in-plane mobility,high miniaturization,high resolution,high detection accuracy,and large dynamic range have gradually increased.When developing an X-band miniaturized weather radar,the requirements for the receiver are getting higher and higher,and its performance will directly affect the detection capability of the entire radar.This thesis is mainly aimed at the design of the X-band based small weather radar,and conducts design research based on the overall index requirements of a small X-band weather radar.Based on the in-depth analysis of the basic structure of weather radar receivers,the functions of key receiver components and the main technical indicators of the receiver,according to the overall index requirements of the receiver in the X-band small weather radar,the product working environment,device cost,various factors such as quality,batch production process,etc.,rationally formulate design plans and select components,and manufacture a receiving front end that meets the requirements of the complete machine index.The specific work content is as follows:1.Sort out the technical indicators of the receiving front end,and complete the overall indicator allocation of the receiving front end.For example,the front-end is divided into two major parts,the receiving channel module and the frequency source module,and theoretical research and calculation simulation are carried out on these two modules respectively.2.In response to the miniaturization and maintainability requirements of the receiver,determine the structural layout of the two modules of the receiving channel and the frequency source,while taking into account the reliability and electromagnetic compatibility of the system.The technical route and development plan of the small X-band weather radar receiving front end have been determined.3.According to the results of design and simulation,determine the project implementation plan,and carry out the detailed design of the prototype,such as the circuit diagram of each functional module and the PCB circuit design,and test and verify the receiving front-end indicators.4.Summarized the subject,analyzed the shortcomings in the development,and put forward ideas for subsequent design and improvement.All indicators of the miniaturized X-band receiving front end studied in this paper are in compliance with the requirements.After the design is completed,the whole machine has been combined and used.Insufficiency is continuously discovered during use,and future design improvements are provided.
