In the fast-developing information age,the exchange of information is very important.As an efficient avenue to transmit information,video plays an important role in daily life.With the rapid development of network and multimedia technology,the way of transmitting video has changed a lot,network video transmission technology emerges to meet the needs of people to get information quickly,and it has been widely used in security system,videoconferencing,telemedicine and remote education.With the development of application,people put forward higher requirements for network video transmission system in respects of real-time,convenience and cost.The paper proposes and implements a real-time network video transmission system based on ARM embedded platform.The system selects embedded processor as the core for video capture and compression using H.264 compression coding standard,releases a video stream to the network by RTSP streaming media server built in embedded system.To improve the applicability,the system can access network through cable and Wi-Fi modes.Users can use the dedicated client software in PC or third-party streaming media players in smart mobile devices when watching the video.At first,the thesis details the specific implementation of the main modules including network transmission,system control,video encoding,streaming and the client program,and complete building development environment for system application.Secondly,video coding program and RTSP server program are completed base on Hi3515 C video processing API function set and Live555.The PC client software is developed in Qt Creator platform,based on FFmpeg video decoding library.Finally,the function and performance of the system are debugged,the results show that the performance of the system meet the design expectations.The system has advantage of high stabilization,high real-time,rapid deployment and high practicability.Each module of the system can be transplanted to other design easily.The designed system has certain reference value to our research group to research HD video wireless transmission based on H.265.
