With the rapid development of computer technology and mobile Internet technology,mobile terminal to enhance the function,the battery powered embedded systems(intelligent mobile phones,smart watches,tablets)has become a necessity in the individual's daily life,the individuals are increasingly dependent on the mobile terminal.The mobile terminal is more than sensitive to power consumption,with the diversification of mobile terminal to enhance computing performance and service function,balanced design and low power design performance,power consumption and temperature rise are one of the main objectives of the mobile terminal.This thesis mainly studies the design of mobile terminal hardware circuit low power design and software power management,as well as the optimization method of power consumption of the system,and designs the terminal product which meets the design requirements.According to the characteristics of mobile terminal modules were analyzed and optimize the design of power management from two aspects of hardware and software design to ensure the function and performance to meet with low standby power consumption on the basis of the requirements.The main work completed was listed as follows:(1)Investigated the low power hardware design and software power management method of the current international and domestic.(2)Made the low power hardware design and software power management design scheme of mobile terminal.(3)Completed and implementation of hardware circuit design for low power mobile terminal,including minimum system,multimedia module,wireless connection module,modem module,RF module,sensor module,USB interface and a charging low power circuit design,layout planning,power planning,routing,reduced the static power of the mobile terminal,to provide the control foundation for software power management.(4)Completed the design and optimization of Android power management software,including boot loader program design,configuration optimization of Linux kernel power management,LCD and touch screen driver power management design,design and optimization of camera driver power management,optimization of USB and Charger driver power management,reduce the system of dormant standby power,and made test verification.(5)Completed the balanced design of the performance,power consumption and temperature: dynamic adjustment of power management strategy by detection of temperature and battery state.This thesis discussed the current mobile terminal circuit of low power design and software design method of power management(dynamic power management,dynamic voltage and frequency scaling etc.),and completed low power consumption circuit design and software power management that combined with the actual project to select low cost and feasibility,so as to balance the quality and cost,enhance the product competitiveness in the market.The results show that the sleep current of mobile terminal based on Android is less than 3.5mA,which improves the standby endurance.
