In the era of media convergence,"Internet Plus" brings opportunities for the developments of the traditional medias.Mango TV's role of the only new media representative of Hunan Broadcasting Center(HBC)'s internet video services as well as its acquirement of the exclusive broadcast right on all HBC's professional generated contents trigger drastic increases both in the number of the clients and the viewing flow.,This tremendous clients-body delivers even stricter challenges to Mango TV,s contents generation and delivery strategies.This research carefully picks Mango TV,a successful case that smoothly transitions from traditional to new media,as the subject,and systemically analyzes current situation and problems of and occur from its big data application,with according optimized solutions being proposed.This research primary focuses on the big data application in Mango TV's contents generation and delivery.Firstly,by elaborating the background and meaning of the topic selected,this research illustrates the current situation of big data in Mango TV and its significance in contents generation and delivery.Further,sources of Mango TV's big data are organized and classified,which includes users subscribing,videos clicking,web browsing and advertises exposing.It is summarized Mango TV's big data is featured with such:quantification in data information,diversification in data types,efficiency in data processing and authentication in data attribution.Meanwhile,Mango TV are experiencing the transition from one-way transmission to bidirectional interaction in its contents generation and from mass communication to customized recommendation in its contents delivery.Big data in one aspect influences the strategy forming and decision making process,offers suggestion in gusts invitation and alters ideology in program production of the producing crew;in the other aspect,big data's application in contents delivery realizes the accuracy in contents arrangement,intelligence in the contents pushing and eventually the sophistication in contents management.Finally,real cases in Mango TV's self-generated contents production are taken as references to further analyze the application of big data.Currently,big data application in Mango TV's contents generation and delivering is at its starting phase,and is immature in aspects such as technological and security requirement.It could be summarized that big data application in Mango TV requires further complements in base data,improvements in analysis capability,higher efficiency in quality check and security in clients' privacy.Based on the problems above,this research offers possible solutions such as base data quality control strengthening,professional data personnel introducing,data application ideology deepening and privacy management mechanism construction,with direct information from the author,who is currently staff of the data management department of Mango TV.
