The acousto-optic effect is defined as the diffraction of the incident light by the periodic distribution of the fractive index of the medium,which is caused by the propagation of the ultrasonic in the crystal medium.Acousto-optic devices are functional device designed by acousto-optic effect.With the development of optoelectronic technology,acousto-optic devices have been widely applied in many fields,such as beam control,optical signal processing,optical computing,optical communication and so on.Based on the theory of anisotropic acousto-optic interaction,the broadband design of anisotropic acousto-optic device at different frequency bands are systematically studied.The parameters of the bandwidth and the frequency characteristic curves of anisotropic acousto-optic deflectors at different frequency bands are obtained.The main contents of this paper include the following three parts:The research background and applications of acousto-optical technology are summarized,the coupling wave equation and the momentum matching geometry relationships of TeO2crystals are given as the theoretical foundation for the deduction of the Dixon equation.The wideband design of the anisotropic acousto-optic devices in different frequency bands is studied.By solving the Dixon equation of the geometric relationships of Tellurium dioxide,the broadband design parameters of the anisotropic acousto-optic device at low frequency band and high frequency band are obtained.It can be found that the bandwidth and central frequency of the acousto-optic device in different frequency band show different linear properties,which is also effected by the opreation mode of the acousto-optic device.The wideband design of the TeO2 anisotropic acousto-optic device in different frequency band under the rotation of the operation plane is also studied.The research results show that the gradient characteristics of the bandwidth and the frequency are determined by the frequency band and the operation mode of the acousto-optic device.The central frequency and the bandwidth of the acousto-optic device under specific off-axis angle can be effectively improved by the rotation of the operation plane.This research work enriched the broadband design concept based on the rotation of the operationplane and provided more detailed theoretical references for the broadband design of TeO2 anisotropic acousto-opic devices.
