At present,the optical fiber communication technology has been widely used in the backbone network and access network in China.With the booming of internet,such as video,live broadcast and high-definition television,the requirement for network bandwidth has been higher and higher.As the most mainstream technology of the access network,the development of PON count for much.XGPON is a new generation of 10 G PON technology based on the ITU-G.987 protocols.Today XFP is widely used in XGPON OLT,which supports 10 Gbps downstream rate and 2.5 Gbps upstream Burst-Mode receiving,and can also exists in the same network with GPON.The purpose of this thesis is to design a XGPON OLT transceiver with SFP+ encapsulation.Through the methods of the analysis of the progress at home and abroad,scheme selection,circuit design and prototype test,the thesis realizes and satisfies the design of international standards of XGPON OLT.The main work of the thesis is as follows:(1)The concept of PON is introduced,which focus on the development of EPON and GPON,and the development route is discussed separately.At the same time,the relevant knowledge of SFP+ and its advantages and disadvantages are introduced.(2)According to the working principle and performance stipulated in G.987.2 for XGPON OLT transceiver,a key part of the design are discussed,and a scheme of EML + APD BOSA and an adjustable AC coupling receiver is proposed.Next,the circuit design of the module is described,which is divided into four detailed parts: optical devices,transmitting circuit,receiving circuit,package structure and heat dissipation.(3)The prototype is tested in the laboratory,and verify that all the performance indexes designed by the thesis meet the international standard.In conclusion,the design of the SFP+ small package XGPON OLT module is implemented in this paper,which provide XGPON technology a better application in PON system.
