With the progress of science and technology,more and more traditional industrial intelligent control system has been used in the process of production and testing.As the most common using flow meter,water meter must be calibrated before shipping.Although the water meter technology is improving,due to the mature of supply chain,sales channels and other factors,such as electronic water meter technology immaturity and cost,making that the mechanical water meter and mechanical water meter based card meter and direct reading water meter,still has a great market share.Many water meter factory and the measurement institute still use the manual way in the mechanical water meter detection,and the efficiency is low.So it is difficult to meet the mass water meter production and inspection need,and it has seriously affected the water quality control and the production efficiency.Based on the existing automatic water meter detection technology,this paper designs and implements a new water meter detection device based on high speed CMOS image sensor and FPGA hardware acceleration processing technology.And designs a kind of automatic water meter verification device and develops the corresponding information management system.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,we developed a management information system.The management information system is designed based on the software engineering and use the object-oriented approach.We have done many works in this paper,such as t demand analysis,scheme design,database design,software design and coding test,etc.The management information system mainly for the small water meter factory,and the main functions include several subsystems,such as personnel verification management,business verification,automatically calculate the result,data statistics and result analysis.An automatic water meter verification device,which is suitable for DN15-DN50 water meter specification,is designed.And the device is equipped with the high precision electronic scale and pneumatic valve,and also has realized the time compensation function.The design can be used to make a new automatic test device and can also be used to upgrade the existing manual testing equipment.Further,based on high-speed image CMOS sensor and FPGA technology,we have designed and implemented a new water meter testing device(hereinafter referred to as high-speed water meter testing device).Benefit from the change in the detection principle,the high-speed water meter detector improves up the reliability of the existing photoelectric sensor,in these cases such as water meter dial bubble,water mist and dust.The high-speed water meter detector can directly output the testing result in the form of pulse,fully compatible with the existing photoelectric sensor;In addition,the high-speed water meter detector extends the RS485 interface,you can directly read the test data through the RS485 interface,which can further simplify the complexity of system design.At last,based on the automatic water meter verification device and management information system,we do a lot of experiments,which has proved that the system has achieved the desired design goals.At present,the system has been running in many water meter factory,greatly improving the efficiency of water meter verification.
