Augmented reality technology was developed on the basis of virtual reality technology,utilizing computer technology,photoelectric display technology,human-computer interaction technology,and visualization technology to produce a virtual image to accomplish the combining of the real and virtual world,thus achieving virtual-actual combination,real-time interaction and three-dimensional registration.A variety of near-eye augmented reality display devices have become a hot issue in recent years.Compared to current research on the design and application of wearable near-eye augmented reality display device,its testing and evaluation research is lagging behind.Most of the evaluation researches are based on particular aspect of its display performances and features.There is no relatively complete and comprehensive test evaluation system.Many performance tests adopt subjective experience survey of users to complete the evaluation,such as questionnaires,and then the evaluation results will be analyzed.However,the results of these subjective tests lack the support of objective evaluation theory.In this paper,the research is based on the test evaluation of near-eye augmented reality display devices.The index system to indicate the comprehensive objective performance of the near-eye augmented reality display devices is constructed,and the test methods of the main indicators are described.On this basis,a set of hardware and software system for the objective performance test on near-eye augmented reality display devices is designed through the analysis of the problems in the objective performance test.The test and evaluation method of augmented reality display devices performance is investigated.The advantages and disadvantages,commonness and differences of the objective performance test method are analyzed,as well as difficulties of the test.According to these objective performance,and a set of test system for the characteristics of the objective performance proposed.The system is used to evaluate the performance of the near-eye augmented reality display device.In order to facilitate the comparison and connection between similar performance,the system is classified according to the objective performance of the test.And the brightness,transmittance and other major test methods were studied,and the methods to evaluate the traditional display devices are provided as reference.it can be suitable for the test and evaluation of augmented reality display devices by adjustment.In addition,a common type test system for augmented reality display devices is designed,and it is composed of software and hardware.The software part is designed for the control of the instrument,the data display and storage etc.The hardware part contains test equipment,automated rails and other components.The two parts form a complete test system for the augmented reality display devices,which will provide a reference for the research of the test and evaluation method for the augmented reality display devices.
