In recent years,with the great development in the fields of edge computing and micro-display technology,the features of augmented reality intelligent display device have been constantly updated.A typical application of Augmented Reality(AR)display device is wearable glasses,such as Microsoft's HoloLens and Magic Leap' Magic Leap One,which can integrate virtual information with the real environment to make the real world more intelligent.However,due to the high integration level of the augmented reality display equipment,the requirements for the measurement of display performance indicators are getting higher and higher,including the ability to test more performance evaluations and the ability to reduce the influence of human factors by the intelligent detection.At present,most of the researches on the performance testing technology of AR display devices at home and abroad have the functions of calibration and adjustment of specific position and angle of the mechanical control system.At the same time,the introduction of machine vision as a feedback can improve the completeness and stability of the test system.This paper proposed an intelligent test system based on machine vision and precise mechanical control,and completed the automatic measurement for main indicators of AR display equipment.In this paper,the design of intelligent test system for AR display device was carried on the basis of comprehensive documental research.The specific work and achievements include:(1)set up a complete intelligent test system,the system includes mechanical control module,machine vision module,measuring instrument and computer on hardware parts,and visual processing algorithm,mechanical control program and PC terminal program on software parts.The 3D+3D control of the spatial position and attitude angle of the object under test is realized by using the three-dimensional guide rail and the three-axis steering gear.The spatial position and attitude angle are acquired through the machine vision module,and the real-time control of each component is realized through the upper computer software.(2)Align the test area and display area between the measuring instrument and the test object based on the machine vision module and mechanical control components.(3)Design the automatic test processing,the features of the effective FOV,brightness,contrast,uniformity,transmittance and color gamut of the AR glasses have been measured,and the measurement results were analyzed.The results showed that the automatic alignment of the measuring instrument and the tested object can be 100% completed,the stability and validity of data flow in the automated test processing can be guaranteed,and the efficiency and repeatability of test system are much better compared to the manual operation.
