The Research Of Livelihood Data Journalism Reports

The wave of big data is impacting the entire society.It is not only a revolution in information technology,but also brings tremendous changes in all areas of the world.The media industry,which is at an important stage in the dissemination of information,will also be affected by the wave of big data.Driven by big data,the old media ecological environment began to change.The traditional way of news production has been difficult to adapt to this era of information explosion,and the emergence of data journalism is the active exploration of the media industry in the new era.Since the reform and opening up,our country's politics and economy have all achieved rapid and steady development.People's quality of life has been increasing.At the same time,people's livelihood issues such as “shortage of educational resources,the difficulty of getting medical treatment,and difficult to employ”,have begun to be exposed.The issue of people's livelihood,with its unique characteristics of the times,has attracted the attention of major news media in the country.In this context,the integration of the new reporting styles of the people's livelihood news and data journalism,which have a wide range of concerns and involve a wide range of information,has become inevitable.Many domestic media have already made an attempt to apply data journalism to the practice of livelihood reports.This article takes the 292 livelihood data journalism reports of the four well-known domestic data journalism websites Xinhuanet,NetEase,Sohu.com and Caixin.com as research samples.After detailed analysis of data sources,report topics,report types,story attributes,and visual presentation,the author found that the development of domestic online media livelihood data news is still at an exploratory stage.In the practice of livelihood data news reporting,there are many shortcomings in data mining efforts,data interpretation depth,visual presentation methods,and development of predictive reports.The reasons for these problems include the low level of government information disclosure,the difficulty of accessing some database resources,and the lack of professionalism of the data news production team.In the end,according to the current development status of the domestic online media livelihood data news,the author puts forward the corresponding optimization strategies from the three perspectives of data collection,data processing,and data presentation.
