Ultrashort wave band is one of the most widely used bands of wireless communication.Much military and civilian information rely on ultrashort wave to transmit.Usually,ultrashort wave is used in the outdoor environment and is used for long-distance transmission as its signal fades less during long-distance transmission.pulling away from the long-distance outdoor experiment requires a lot of manpower and resources when testing ultrashort wave signal transmission,so the problem can be solved by simulating outdoor transmission of ultrashort wave with instruments and equipment(such as ultrashort wave channel simulator)in the laboratory.In terms of the research and development of the channel simulator,there are already more refined products abroad,but their prices are relatively high and they are not suitable for military use.Also,domestic products,with fewer functions,are uncommon and can't meet current demands.Therefore,the research and development of ultrashort wave channel simulator can break the monopoly of foreign prices,as well as meet the domestic demands for channel simulator application.In the aspect of theory,the properties of ultrashort wave channel simulator depend on how we choose channel models.The reconfigurable ultrashort wave channel simulator developed in this paper uses the world-recognized Irregular Terrain Methodology model(ITM model)weighted small-scale fading model as the major simulating model.Taking into account scenarios add sea clutter model to simulate sea clutter using widely used in engineering Weibull distribution model in sea clutter model.By demonstrating channel model simulator parameter and simulating channel models,this paper proved the validity and feasibility of the model and provided practical structure according to simulating results.The broadband reconfigurable ultrashort wave channel simulator implementation is based on Software Defined Radio(SDR),which enables real-time simulation,reconfiguration,and software upgrade features.According to the SDR features,this paper proposed the broadband reconfigurable ultrashort wave channel simulator hardware and software design and implementation,and demonstrated the methods of its implementation as well as the process of the software development to ensure the accuracy and reliability of this program.Finally,this paper tested the broadband reconfigurable ultrashort wave channel simulator developed here.By analyzing the testing results,we draw the conclusion that the ultrashort wave channel simulator can appropriately simulate ultrashort wave actual transmission,meet the designing requirements and various technical indicators,and can achieve the effect as expected.
