The Social Network Mobilization Of Mainland Spouses' Social Movement

On the face of the discrimination and unequal treatment from the policy of the Taiwan authorities,mainland spouses have been taking affirmative actions for a long time.On the background of the social network providing sufficient mobilizing energy for the social movements,in June 2016,the groups of mainland spouses had launched three affirmative actions to oppose the "ID cards 6 to 4".The author had been concerned about the whole process online or offline.This paper takes three actions for research,starts with three social movement theory,respectively,"political opportunity structure","mobilization structure,and "frame process".And then,the paper adopts three methods of virtual ethnography,text analysis and participant observation online to analyze the role of social network in social movements from the mainland spouses.The study finds that owning to the "crisis" from policy alternation,the mainland spouses,"vulnerable" but subjective increasingly,had launched affirmative actions in the beckon of the affirmative elite.The social network play roles in the three actions for the first time and becomes an important mobilization tool and field,so,these create the "political space for fight " and "mobilization structure" in social network;Furthermore,a large number of contexts of confrontational and building identity spread in the social network bring the meaning to the actions from mainland spouses,promote emotional identity and influence the aspiration from bystanders to actors;Finally,the social networks give imputes to the construction of organization networks,information consultation and online-offline interaction in the process,promote the links between the mobilization and actions.Therefore,the mobilization of social networks in three dimensions of opportunities,rights and actions have achieved the "value" in real world.The study also finds that the social networks produce more problems such as "hitch","disorder","differentiation of core requirement" and "rumors" meanwhile the positive affects.
