With the development of nanotechnology,the integration of electronic devices will be higher and higher.As one of the most important light sources,lasers develop towards miniaturization.However,the size of the lasers is limited by the optical diffraction,The introduction of surface plasmons make contributions to the realization the nanolasers.Nowadays,realizing both low loss and high field confinement is the main challenge for nanolasers.In this paper,the current research on nanolasers has been introduced.Then,the technologies about nanolasers have been discussed through the loss of the resonator and the gain medium in the nanolasers,the excitation and amplification of the surface plasmons.Subsequently,to compare the influence of metal part and the influence of gain part,the nanolaser which has a symmetrical structure has been proposed.Finally,the nanolaser which own the waveguide structure based on MoS2 has been put forward.To investigate the impact of material,SiO2 and MgF2 have been used in the nanolaser.The electric field distribution,mode characteristics and laser threshold have been regarded as the criterion to analyze the effect of different materials.The influence of geometry on nanolaser based on MoS2 also has been discussed.The structures and results provide theoretical and technological support to the field of new nanolasers design.
