With the explosive growth of global data,cloud computing has attracted more and more attention of enterprises.As an open source cloud computing software architecture,OpenStack has been favored by thousands of enterprises and developers all over the world.It is becoming the preferred software architecture for infrastructure construction by more and more data centers.However,as the data center is processing more and more data,the network load of data center is also growing,so it is urgent to improve the performance of cloud data center network.For the physical network can increase the physical network equipment to alleviate the increase in network load,and cloud computing in the virtual network is hosted on the x86 server software to achieve,thus improving the network performance of virtual networks,need to improve the performance of virtualization software and the x86 server,especially virtualization software packet forwarding performance.DPDK(Data Plane Development Kit)as an open source data plane development tool set,provides a efficient packet processing library function in user space.In this thsis,through the deconstruction of composition of OpenStack virtual network in cloud environment,the study of the technology principle and factors affecting performance about DPDK,analysis of various factors affecting OpenStack cloud network performance,using the bypass kernel protocol stack,polling mode without interrupt transceiver,optimize memory / buffer / queue management,based on network and multi queue flow recognition load balancing technology,to achieve a high performance packet in the x86 processor architecture of the forwarding,optimize the OpenStack network performance.The main research contents and innovation points are as follows: firstly,the DPDK combined with OpenStack,analyzes the principle of DPDK software architecture and technology,the influence of various factors on packet forwarding performance,on the OpenStack platform in the influence of network performance factors,gives the optimization design scheme from two aspects of hardware and software;secondly,the principle of DPDK optimization based on OpenStack,according to the different node gives different optimization design,and the security group function are redesigned and implemented;finally,design the test scheme of OpenStack cloud platform for optimization of network performance,before and after optimized the two layer OpenStack cloud platform forwarding and three layer forwarding performance is tested and compared.
