Students in universities can't improve their engineering capabilities without practicing through experiments.So far the "Automatic Detection Technology" experiment course in South East University is based on Model CSY-2000 experimenting platform.Students can establish verification experiments and simple designing experiments on physical quantities such as displacement,velocity,temperature and pressure using immutable modules this system provides.Flowrate and level detection experiments are still not implemented.Moreover,experimenting devices for flowrate and level in China are either bulky or expensive,and can't meet the demands of real practices for students.There's a significance to develop an online education system which allows students to operate and experiment on flowrate/level detection devices remotely without limitations on time and location.This thesis works primary on the development of a teaching and experimenting platform for flowrate/level detection based on network and Web technology.This thesis is supported by 985 Subject Fundings of Southeast University,and Advantage Subject Funding of Jiangsu.The primary task is to improve the hardware structure of a self-developed "Integrated Flowrate and Level Detection and Experimenting Device"functional prototype,and add remote accessibility to allow students logging on to the platform via internet anytime and anywhere,carrying out multiple flowrate/level detecting experiments.Such platform for detection technology fills the blank of the detection technology teaching field in China.It not only contains a whole lot of new experiments,but also inspires students' interests.It significantly improves the usage efficiency of experiment devices,while enhancing the studying effectiveness of students.This thesis includes the following contents:(1)Design various experiments which suit the flowrate/level detection experimenting platform,including verification experiments,composite experiments and designing experiments.(2)Improve the experiment platform hardware controller based on ARM11 processor,add graphical human interface.(3)Implement the backstage software for the remote experimenting platform based on Node.js Server Framework,realize features including on-site experimenting devices management,remote video surveillance,remote experimenting and course management.(4)Design and implement the front end Web pages for the remote experimenting platform using Express framework,allowing remote experiments using World Wide Web.(5)Finish the system integration and debugging of the whole system.Chapters in this thesis including:1.Preface,introducing the background of the studying subject,the current research status on this subject and the main forcus of the thesis.2.Overall System Design,introducing the overall requirements,functional module division and their usages.3.Experiment Course Design,introducing the overall structure of the experiment course and the thinking on designing such couese structure.Introducing course setup with specific examples.4.System Hardware Design,introducing the hardware structure of the on-site experiment device and its optimization,which includes re-designing of schematics,adding new features and PCB layout.5.On-site Experiment Device Embedded Software Design,including overall introduction of its software structure,the implement of controlling and sensoring of the device,the design of network communication protocols and human interface UI designs.6.Server-side Software Development,including the introcudtion and analysis of key technologies used on the server,database design,remote experimenting subsystem interface design and course management subsystem design.7.Client-side Software Development,including the introcudtion and analysis of key technologies used for the client,the implement of remote experimenting feature and the implement of the experiment report/course management subsystem.8.System Integration and Debugging,including the system integration and debugging of the system,and the analysis of the system performance.According to our tests,the system we designed is reliable and versatile.Multiple experiment can be conducted on the platform remotely,including verification,composite and designing experiments.Such platform provides a practical,multi-functional and cost-effective option for conducting flowrate/level detection experiments of "Detection Technology Experiment Course" in China.
