Design And Implementation Of A Company's Financial System Based On Oracle ERP

In recent years,the development of the insurance is very rapidly.Although China's insurance industry has been around just for more than twenty years,business management level and product innovation are relatively weak,the dynamic market and the lots of reorganized,established insurance enterprises has made domestic insurance industry a fierce competition in recent years.Insurance industry is a data and capital intensive industry,and it highly depends on the informatization.More and more insurance companies are aware of the importance of informatization,and take informatization as an important mission to improve the management through the information technology continuously.In the field of informatization,ERP is one of the most popular topics.On April 12,1990,Gartner first proposed the concept of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)in the Research Report "ERP:A Vision of the Next Generation MRP I";Oracle EBS(Oracle E-business Suite)is one of the models of ERP.The object of this paper is A life-insurance company.A is a joint venture life insurance company which is established by B group and C company.And A is headquartered in Beijing.A is currently in the preparatory stage,the organization structure and business system are improving gradually,the financial accounting is manually without any ERP system.Taking the future development into account,the company will build a high-quality and efficient financial accounting management system with the help of the mature and advanced Oracle EBS,to lay a good foundation for the future financial accounting system,to achieve centralized processing of information,to meet the requirements of internal and external disclosure and supervision,to realize the intelligence and informatization.This paper will describe the implementation of "A" ERP project mainly.According to the practical business process,"A" will implement General Ledger,Accounts Payable,Accounts Receivable,Fixed Assets,CUX and so on.But this paper just consists of General Ledger,Accounts Payable.
