Through computing centric and network centric,IT(Information Technology)has entered a data centric era.At the great moment when the whole IT architecture and storage architecture have changed,it is of great practical and strategic significance to research and develop EB level cloud storage system.The high-density storage server S650-G20 is the basic component of EB level cloud storage system,and the reliability of it is the basis of EB level cloud storage system to ensure continuous online service capability.This thesis focuses on the reliability of the high-density storage server S650-G20,and the 2 key factors are the abnormal power loss of the system power supply and the vibration of hard disk.Abnormal system power loss will lead to loss of user data in memory,which will lead to serious reliability problems.The selected components must keep high reliability in the high temperature environment,and the system needs to complete the system abnormal power-off protection at the same time.High density storage server S650-G20 realizes the data protection function of abnormal power loss by using NVDIMM(Non-Volatile Dual In-line Memory Module)and supercapacitors as the Main components of power down protection in 3 aspects which are abnormal power down detection,abnormal power down treatment and abnormal power failure recovery.The hard disk vibration caused by the fan can reduce the hard disk performance and damage the hard disk at the same time,which brings the reliability risk.In the design of high density storage server with high heat flow density and strong wind resistance,it is difficult to control the fan speed and reduce the fan vibration.In this paper,a dual rotor fan is adopted,and the heat dissipation strategy based on the PID speed regulation of the hard disk temperature and the cascade fan speed control based on the power consumption of the hard disk storage is adopted.While realizing the heat dissipation of the system's hard disk,the problem of the hard disk vibration caused by the system fan is solved,and the reliability design is realized.This thesis breaks through the reliability design technology of high-density storage server,and completes the S650-G20 reliability design of high-density storage server.S650-G20 reliability test results meet the product design specifications.As the key basic hardware equipment of EB level cloud storage system,S650-G20 has accumulated nearly 100 sales,sold for nearly 2 years,without any reliability failure.
