Research On WSN Energy-Saving Routing Algorithm Based On Network Coding

Wireless Sensor Network was born in the eighties of last century and applied to many areas of the society because of its unique advantages.Unlike traditional networks,WSN is a self-organized network consist of a large number of sensor nodes.However,those nodes is extremely limited in energy and always invalid due to energy exhausted.For the energy in wireless sensor networks is limited,we employs network coding technology to reduce the energy consumption of nodes,and studies the routing algorithm of wireless sensor networks based on network coding.The main work of this paper can be summarized as:A hierarchical multi-hop routing protocol based on network coding is designed.Firstly,the network is layered according to the distance from the node to convergence node.Secondly,random linear network coding is added to the process of data transmission.Finally,from the theoretical and emulational point of view,we demonstrate the fact that the data transmission using network coding can reduce the energy consumption than the data transmission without network coding.A wireless sensor network clustering routing protocol based on network coding is proposed.Firstly,the influence of the communication distance on the channel quality is taken into account in the process of building the cluster.In order to ensure the good communication quality,the scale of the cluster is limited.Secondly,the network coding is included to the data transmission process of the cluster head,which can reduce the times of data transmission of cluster head.The relationship between the transmit power of the node and the total power of the network is established,and gives the optimal node transmit power which minimizes the total power of the network.Finally,we demonstrate the advantages of the protocol in saving energy consumption by simulation,and test several factors which influence the performance of the protocol.
