In recent years,with rapid development of cloud computing and data center,Ethernet technology is more and more widely used in the telecommunications industry and further extending to metropolitan area network and wide area network.However,Ethernet was originally developed for local area network,and did not establish an effective management and maintenance mechanism.In order to better detect and monitor network link status and service performance,our work designed for a communication company project and its software development platform,named“Requirements of Fujian post WAN-Y.1731 supporting sustainable detection”.Through study on subsistent Connectivity Fault Detection protocol,we accomplished the optimization of detecting and monitoring Ethernet network link.More specifically,we increased the continuing detecting on network performance,designed CFD linkage function and realized detection and monitor on small traffic link.(1)Based on the analysis of OAM mechanism defined in 802.1ag protocol and Y.1731 protocol,Connectivity Fault Detection was proposed.We draw the conclusion that CFD is highly available through the comparison of several commonly used network link detection methods.This paper makes an in-depth study and detailed introduction of CFD.(2)Three-point optimization is proposed for the network link detection function defined in the CFD protocol: Firstly,the paper increases the continuing detection to achieve continuous detection of link service performance;Secondly,the paper designs the linkage of CFD,which can realize automation management of the link by changing the status of ports;Third,the paper realizes the detection of small flow link by supporting CFD of three sub-interfaces,which expands the application environment of CFD.This paper makes a detailed analysis on the requirements of the functional optimization,puts forward the design scheme and makes the choice,Meanwhile we introduce the implementation process and compare the function before and after optimization.(3)Through the host and equipment to build the CFD test environment,using the VTP application software to verify the optimization function of the article,and verify the results of the analysis.The verification results show that the CFD has realized the continuing detection of the network link service performance,and can change the status of port according to the results,and can support the detection of small flow link.At present,the optimization function of CFD has been applied to the router equipment of the mainstream communication company.
