The Study On Program Form Innovation Of Video Website Self-made Variety Programs

In recent years,after having experienced the stage of video share and a high-price TV programs,online video websites began to realize it hard to make them profitable and survived by the traditional media production capacity as the increasing copyright costs.Meanwhile,it weakens on a large scale the stickiness of media users due to the tendency of homogenization of existing TV programs.Therefore,most domestic video websites turned to produce its own variety programs for a considerable development.The variety programs produced by video websites develop from the strategic layout of its original content production.Since the policy of “Cutback on TN entertainment” was enacted in the year of 2014,these websites saw it as an good opportunity for the development of self-made variety programs,with a huge inflow of advertisements,capital and talents.As the number grows rapidly,self-made variety programs has stepped into a standardized and top-quality status,getting rid of the shoddy form in the early years.As a result,a lot of good original online programs began to emerge,which can be comparable to TV ones.These programs applied the innovation to the structures,elements,and even to the form which the public wasn't familiar or have never seen as so to meet the diversified needs of audiences.The paper aimed to study on self-made variety programs of video website and selected the three typical programs U Can U Bibi,Crime Scene as well as Are you Normal as cases.The author has applied Professor Tan Tian's Analysis Methods of Program Form to analyze the self-made program form from the perspectives of basic structure and elements.Then it is easily found out in which places these programs have been innovated and the main reason why these innovation arouse.Meanwhile,this paper also pointed out the existing problems and the developing trend of the program form.
