Pulse laser ranging plays an important role in the field of military landform detection.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the method of high precision ranging and the design of its control system.The project in this paper is a laboratory project,which aims to design a high precision distance measurement and control system for geomorphic detection.The system which designed in this paper has the advantages of wide range,high precision and customization.In this paper,the overall requirements of the system are analyzed,and the overall architecture of the system is introduced.According to the functional requirements and performance indicators,the whole system is divided into two parts,and the specific design of each sub-module is introduced in detail.The distance measurement part is completed by three modules,wherein the signal conditioning module is used to adjust the input and output pulses;the timing generation module adjusts the laser receiver opening time automatically by predicting the laser return time;Timing module is used to complete the high precision time interval measurement of laser emission and return,timing core chip using Germany ACAM TDC-GPX time conversion chip,with its I mode to complete 10?s time measurement and G mode to complete 10?s ~ 100?s time measurement.The system control part includes GPS timing,laser mirror rotation control and angle reading,storage system,user interaction,and core integrated control,in which GPS timing using FPGA and external Beidou BD-126 module to work together to achieve the timing accuracy of 1?s,and maximum timing frequency of 5k Hz;the rotation of the mirror according to the user's configuration,and the laser emission angle read accuracy is 0.000 044°;user interaction part allows the user to personalize the system initialization parameters;core integrated control module controls sub-modules in an reasonable way to complete the system function integration.Finally,the overall performance of the system is tested and analyzed.The test results show that the overall function of the system has met the system requirements,the performance indicators have reached the expected requirements.
