Power communication network is an important part of power networks,which is essential to ensure the normal operation of power networks.With the continuous development of communication technology,optical transport network(OTN),the second generation optical network,has become the main candidate of current power communication networks.Reliability and security are important to ensure the stable and normal operation of power communication network system.This paper introduces the concept and technology of OTN,and analyzes its advantages,networking modes and application scenariosof OTN equipments in power communication networks.The reliability of OTN system constructed by OTN equipments is also calculated by analyzing the constituent of light path and service.The availability for the light path and service reliability of power communication system are calculated,and different evaluation methods are presented.When studying the light path reliability of OTN networks,we presented a light path reliability model,in which the internal logic structure of OTN equipment and communication power supply are considered,based on the above consideration,the reliability of different nodes and links are calculated in details.By comparingthe different research methods,such as decomposition method,the method of minimal cut sets,the minimal path set method and state list selection method,the minimal path set method is chosen to calculated the reliability for power communication system.Service reliability is an important aspect that influence the reliability of whole communication system.Inthis paper,the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the service reliability of OTN communication system.The fuzzy consistent matrix is presented to analyzethe impact of all the componentson the safety and reliability of power communication network.
