With the rapid development of modern science and technology,the use of all kinds of electronic products in our life is becoming more and more popular.Not only can these electronic products bring convenience for our life and work,but also take electromagnetic radiation into our daily life.The research results show that when the electromagnetic radiation reaches a certain extent,it will affect human's health.Therefore,how to avoid the harm of electromagnetic radiation has gradually attracted people's attention.Based on the basic principle and process of radiation measurement,this paper discusses a method of designing portable radiometer.In this method,the radiation measurement system is divided into three modules: antenna probe,frequency estimation module and information processing module.The antenna probe is used to detect the input signal.The main functions of frequency estimation module is to distinguish the input signal frequency and the power of the antenna.The information processing module transfers the information to the intelligent terminal for analysis and calculation.In this paper,we adopt a miniaturized ultra-wideband antenna,which is based on the traditional antipodal Vivaldi antenna.In order to solve the problem of the compensation of the antenna in the later measurement,the theory of frequency estimation is proposed.On the basis of the design and simulation of the signal detection module,the ultra-wideband antenna and frequency estimation module are fabricated.The test results of the signal detection module show that,the improved UWB antenna can meet detection requirements of the radiation meter,in addition,with the analysis of the test data of the frequency estimation module,it shows the feasibility of the theoretical ideas.We integrate the A/D conversion circuit and serial port /USB circuit as a radiation meter information processing module.At last,the specific process of portable radiometer in measurement is given.
