The rapid development of wireless communications technology makes it rising demand for wireless transmission of data. Ultra-wideband(UWB) wireless communications technology is considered to be an effective bottleneck technique to solve the wireless transmission of data because of its extremely wide bandwidth(3.1 ~ 10.6 GHz). The rapid development of UWB wireless communications technology also promotes the study of UWB systems at the same time. As an important component part of the UWB transceiver system, UWB antenna also becomes an important research direction.Firstly, to learn about the development trend of ultra-wideband antenna, the paper introduces the research background and the latest research abroad dynamic of UWB antenna. Then, we introduce the relevant definitions of ultra-wideband communications,including ultra-wideband antenna electromagnetic radiation theory,ultra-wideband antenna performance in frequency domain and time domain performance parameters,three methods commonly used in computational electromagnetic(CEM), and ultra-wideband antenna for aid design simulation software. Finally, three antennas are designed for ultra-wideband antenna hotspot, including miniaturization of the antenna(Miniaturized) technology,multiple Input multiple output(MIMO) technology,and notch(Band-Notched) technology, The main contents of the article include:(1) A ultra-wideband antenna with a band-notched of C-band(3.7 ~ 4.2 GHz) satellite communication system is designed. The size of the antenna is only 8.5×18.5mm2. Detailed analysis of the realization of miniaturized antenna theory and methods, and the antenna design process is introduced. The antenna is fabricated and measured to verify the accuracy of the performance indicators.(2) A four port ultra-wideband MIMO antenna is designed. The size of the antenna is only 35×35 mm2. The antenna design process is introduced. And the antenna is fabricated and measured to verify the accuracy of the performance indicators.(3) A ultra-wideband antenna is simulated and designed. The antenna contains WLAN(5.15 ~ 5.35 GHz, 5.725 ~ 5.825GHz), C-band satellite communication system(3.7 ~ 4.2GHz) and X-band satellite communication system(7.3 ~ 7.8GHz) four notched bands. Detailed analysis of the various basic principles of the formation of the band-stop, and the antenna design process is introduced.This paper focuses on the research focus of ultra-wideband antennas. Several typical miniaturized ultra-wideband antennas are designed for ultra-wideband system There are certain practical value in obtaining four band-notched characteristics, achieving miniaturization, and introducing MIMO technology in ultra-wideband antenna.
