Cable is widely used in the fields such as satellite,automotive,home appliances and industrial control as an important components for connected mechanical and electrical components in the products.The rationality of the cable layout will directly affect the cable index such as length and quality,which will also affect the management,quality,maintenance and reliability of the product.The traditional modular cabling method has many problems such as cannot reasonable planning the global layout,long cycle,low efficiency and high cost.The development of 3D CAD technology provides a good solution method for the cable arrangement problem.Currently,the cabling function of 3D CAD software has following insufficient and problems in the practical application: tedious operation and ignore the preparatory work before cabling;cannot reasonable and effective planning path,and therefore likely to cause the unreasonable cabling results and increase cost;lack of cable information output function,cannot effectively guide the cable production;cannot checking the interference of the cabling results.Therefore,it is necessary to research the key technologies and develop the interference check of the 3D cabling to further improve and strengthen the 3D cabling function,and better meet the actual requirements of the cabling in the engineering.Key technologies such as model management,path planning and information output of cable,and cable interference check method were intensive studied in this paper based on Pro/E software,the 3D cable system were developed by using secondary development technologies and combine with the needs of a car company based on study results,solve the problem about low design efficiency,cannot reasonable planning path,lack of cable information output and interference check function in the cabling module of Pro/E.The main work is as follows:(1)The key technology of 3D cabling were studied: the management method of the object model in the process of 3D cabling were put forward,constructs the information model of the product structure model,the electrical components model and the cable model before wiring,and then implements the model management;put forward a path planning method which combine automatic cabling and man-machine interactive,network path built methods and search algorithm for automatic cabling path planning were studied,put forward a new methods to built network path;the positioning method of routing cable points for human-computer interactive path planning were detail studied,and given the algorithm flow of path planning;customized the output mode of the 3D cabling results according to the actual needs,and the cable information output technology were researched and developed.(2)For the lack of interference checking function in the old cable module,the interference problems during the process of 3D cabling were analyzed,interference checking method were put forward,which combine interference check based on bounding box with quantitative calculation,and cable clearance check algorithm were put forward,the interference adjustment strategy were presented.(3)The 3D cable system were developed by using secondary development technologie and combine with the needs of enterprise based on Pro/E,the function after the secondary development were proved through a frame,result showed that the cable system developed by the technology of this paper can improve the efficiency of wiring and has a good practicability.
