The credibility of the government is the capability shown by its own,which makes the public to trust and cooperate voluntarily with the government.It includes the public's political identification,the satisfaction of the public service,and the communication between the government and the public,etc.In recent years,people mob together frequently during the domestic public crisis,expressing themselves via unsystematic channels and seeking for solutions in an irrational way.At the same time,local government's control and authority on information is further weakened under new media environment,making its credibility crisis more obviously.The government's credibility is influenced by various factors: the legalization and standardization of government management,and the effectiveness and stability of government policy are the internal and fundamental factors;moreover,public awareness and environment for public voice have significant influenced on the credibility of the government.The impact has become greater,especially nowadays people freely express and communicate with public information under internet communication technology.The conception of this study is to discuss the credibility difficulties that local government now is facing from government dissemination perspective,and to explore the strategies to enhance government's credibility by improving its information management.By using the literature research and case analysis,and by focusing on the "Tacitus trap" that local government's credibility is facing,this essay will bring out the strategy of improving government's information communication management,starting from analyzing the changing situation of public information communication under new media background.The author states that the main problems existing in local government's communication management for credibility building are as below: the government is lack of initiative,sufficient response,transparency and skill on communication.Therefore,for the purpose of enhancing the government's credibility,we need to start from upgrading the concept,optimizing the process and improving the strategy on government's communication management.
