In the 1990 s,digital watermarking technology for copyright protection and data security of digital products came out.And it has been greatly developed in the past 20 years.And it has a wide range of applications in information safety,preventing forgery,copyright protection and so on.Digital products spread more and more quickly and more and more widely,so the protection for network image,video and other information is facing more and more great challenge.In this paper,a digital image watermarking system based on Zedboard is mainly studied.The hardware platform of this system is ZYNQ which combines with the FPGA and ARM.Hardware software co-design greatly improves the speed of the system.And then,the high level synthesis is used to develop the core algorithm of image processing,it takes the advantages of software development for algorithm,and shorten the development cycle.Software language is converted into hardware language and realized on FPGA,which takes advantage of hardware parallel execution on the speed.The digital image watermarking system is divided into image acquisition module and image processing module.The I2 C bus and VGA interface is used in the image acquisition module.And the image can be captured and shown on the monitor on the ZYNQ;Two digital watermarking IP cores,visible IP core and invisible watermarking IP core,are designed on Vivado HLS(high level synthesis).Two-dimensional DCT IP core for 8x8 block is the main point on image processing module,it is programmed by C language and converted to RTL level to complete synthesis.The commands(Directive)are added to optimize IP core's performance,which makes full use of the resources in parallel to reduce the delay.Compare the time of co-simulation with time run on Matlab.And the two IP cores are verified by experiments.Obviously the digital watermarking system based on Zedboard runs faster and it is the optimal solution to satisfy all constraint.In this paper,the structure of the digital image watermarking system based on Zedboard is deeply researched and analyzed in detail about resource scheduling and hardware mapping.Each operation with data dependency is executed in each clock cycle.At the same time,the change of resource scheduling and hardware mapping are analyzed in detail after the commands are added to optimized performance on the project.The designed digital watermarking system IP core makes full use of existing manufacturing process and optimizing the reasonable scheduling resources can shorten the delay.And the extraction and anti-attack experiment of invisible watermark are analyzed.Zedboard will play a greater role in the network image,video and other information protection.
