With the rapid development of science and technology,robot is ever becoming increasingly intelligent and cost-effective.Additionally,aging population,reducing labor source and aggravating life stress,jointly drive people to free from boring,repeated,but dangerous work.As a result,popularization of commercial service robots will be an irresistible and inexorable trend of our society in the future.Currently,the service robot,with a late start in China,is developing without mature technology.Meanwhile,design practice is the ladder of advancement and development,which is well acknowledged.This thesis attempts to provide theoretical guidance for the shopping-guide robot,one kind of service robot,through substantial study on both design principles and methodologies of relevant peer products.As industrial robots are popular nowadays,people simply focus on breakthroughs in the technical and functional side.User experience,however,is more or less ignored.Consequently,industrial designers are required to actively participate in the design of service robot,so as to output practicality-based,high-safety,and user-friendly products,on the basis on preliminary user survey and market analysis.Through the design practice and study on shopping-guide robots from appearance,structure,function,system UI,and man-machine analysis,this thesis eventually completes a full-featured and nice-looking commercial service robot with easy interaction.As a shopping guide,it definitely brings more pleasure and convenience.
