In accordance with the three step plan,Beidou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)hasachieved the third stage successfully,and will be qualified to possess the global passive service performance in 2020.Due to the joint efforts of China civil aviation authority and related authorities,International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO)agree to incorporate BDS into the framework of ICAO standard gradually,it means that BDS will become one part of GNSS in the future and can provide service for the performance based navigation(PBN).The quality of BDS observation data is one of important factor for PBN operation in China.At present,BDS data quality analysis mainly contain the navigation satellite system performance analysis,data quality analysis,positioning performance analysis,the precise single point positioning,positioning algorithm research,BDS/GPS integrated navigation positioning research and BDS ionospheric model research and so on.Some key indexes of BDS data quality are analyzed for which effect the PBN navigation accuracy,integrity,continuity and availability performance.The observation data quality of BDS is analyzed in the form of indicators for the future navigation application of BDS to PBN in terminal area.Firstly,the development status of PBN,GNSS,BDS,and also the content and significance of BDS observation data quality analysis are summarized.Secondly,according to the operation requirements of PBN,the composition of BDS and the service performance,the application of BDS in PBN navigation terminal area are introduced.Thirdly,the source of observation data,data collection,data extraction and data format conversion,spatial and temporal modeling process,and software tools used during the period are described.Fourthly,the whole ambiguity,cycle-slip,multi-path error,ionospheric delay error,etc are simulated.Finally,the effect of ionospheric delay error on RAIM availability in the PBN terminal area is analyzed.Through the experiment,the integer ambiguity is determined,the cycle-slip is detected and corrected,and also the multi-path error is corrected.In addition,the effects of magnetic storm on the ionospheric delay error and on the RAIM availability in the PBN approach are also analyzed.
