Image enhancement is a useful and valuable branch of the research field of the image processing.With the innovation and development of the science and technology,image processing has deeply stepped into many sides of the human life,and it has been an important and necessary part of the national economy and national defense.Image enhancement occupies an important position in the fields of the image processing,and its aim is to enhance the useful information of the image,namely the regions that people are interested in,such as edge and low-contrast region.Image enhancement is benefit for people to extract and get the useful and interested information,and it makes people to analyze the key information in the image further.This paper starts with the traditional image sharpening method of the unsharp masking sharpening algorithm.By observing and analyzing the mechanism and results of the traditional methods,we analyze the deficiencies and shortages of the traditional methods,afterward we seek for a new solution and mind to achieve the image enhancement.This paper innovates a new method to realize the image sharpening,and it improves the deficiencies and overcomes the problems that easily brought by the traditional methods,for example sensitivity to noise and overshoot.This paper solves the practical problems in the process of the image sharpening and takes the view of the mathematical morphological,and we divide an image into different regions and take different degrees of image enhancement,then our method would has the ability of the regional adaptation.The method proposed by this paper could achieve the purpose of the image sharpening,and it makes the details of the image more significant,layer is more obvious,texture is richer,edge is sharper and the contrast increases more significantly.Because of the iteration of mathematical model and different weighting coefficients,this paper could solve the problem brought by the traditional method,and it could achieve a better result of the image sharpening,when compared with the result of the traditional method.This paper proposes a new idea and solution to achieve the image sharpening,and we effectively solve the problems brought by the traditional methods.Finally,it proves the significance of the method proposed by this paper.
