Design And Implementation Of Test Adapter For Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks

During the complex applications of wireless sensor networks(WSNs), the heterogeneity of WSNs leads numerous of different protocol conformance testing systems to be deployed for validating the connectivity between different protocols. However, these systems tend to have difficulties in integration and operation, which causes the high cost and low efficiency during the testing and validation process. A test adapter is designed in this thesis, which can be applied to and easily integrated with the LR-WSN, WIA-PA and IPv6 wireless sensor network conformance testing platform.In order to enhance the test execution efficiency and meet the demand of the adaptor platform's independence and universality, an extensible test adapter is designed and implemented in this article, which supports the multi-protocol testing of heterogeneous WSNs. The main research contents are as follows:1. Combined with the effect of test adapter in the testing platform, the three-tier conformance testing framework of WSNs is designed based on the analysis of the overall application requirement of test adapter, and the function of specific platform and the analysis of test procedures are described.2. Aiming at the low efficiency in traditional random test and the multiplicity of requirements coverage of test case, a requirements-based scheduling and execution mechanism of test case is designed based on the analysis of test case execution of test adapter, which helps increase testing execution efficiency in the condition of reaching the same requirements coverage.3. According to the exhibition of test adapter in protocol conformance testing, the functional structure of test adapter is designed, and the function modules are designed and implemented with hierarchical idea, mainly including unified test interfaces and service interfaces, scheduling and execution mechanism of test case, test monitoring, etc.4. The testing platform is built to complete functional verification and performance analysis by typical test cases. The test cases are referred to national standards include LRWSN, WIA-PA and IPv6 wireless sensor networks.
