In recent years,with the development of hardware technology,sensor node cost reduction and the need for information,Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks(WMSNs)have been a great development.Generally,sensor nodes are able of perceiving other nodes within its radio range and form the network spontaneously.Sensor nodes are generally deployed in the place where human difficult to reach,WMSNs are widely used in industry,agriculture,medical and military etc.WMSNs have been drawing considerable attention because of its potential applications in various fields and people have done a lot research on it.How to transmit data in an environment with the limited node energy,bandwidth and the constantly-changing network states is a research hotspot.And,different applications have different quality of service(Qo S)requirements.Rapid and efficient transmission of data is an important topic for research in multimedia real-time services with strict requirements for latency.The paper proposes an energy-efficient and congestion-aware multipath routing base on dynamic network state update(ECDU)for the real-time multimedia transmission.First,we propose a novel strategy for selecting next hop.It reduces the probability of occurrence of congestion,while ensuring the reliability of the link and delay requirements.Next,for the current routing protocol to establish all paths,and then the traffic allocation and transmission,resulting in a larger packet delay problem,we proposed a dynamic path management and traffic allocation strategy.We proposed a path quality estimation scheme,which uses the path-reply message to gather statistics of path quality information.Source node immediately start data transmission When the source node establishes a path.Subsequent paths are selected to participate in transmission according to the path quality and share the flow.It reduces the latency of data waiting and avoids a single path to consume too much energy to cause node death.Then,we proposed a dynamic network update strategy for routing protocols update the network state using a fixed interval cause a larger network overhead.The dynamic network update strategy updating the network state base on the network state.The update time in the network is determined by the traffic condition and the congestion status in the network.So that it reduces the overhead of network and data delay.Last,at present,congestion control is mainly adopted in the way of traffic control,that is,reducing the source sending rate to achieve the role of congestion mitigation.However,this disguise increases the latency of the data and reduces the throughput of the network.So,we proposed a congestion control strategy based on resource control which made full use of idle nodes and paths in the networks to achieve load balancing and congestion mitigation.Simulations show that in terms of data delivery rate,average end-to-end delay,average energy consumption and transmission quality of video,the ECDU performs better than the compared protocols.
