The robot is a hot area of research and the mobile robot is an import research branch of robot technology, the navigation is a key technology of the mobile robot.The target is to make the mobile robot traveling automatically based on the artificial intelligence whose principle method is the technology of navigation and location.Navigation is the basics of mobile robot and the location is the key of navigation.An intelligent car based on the Android and GPS technology is proposed in this thesis. The function of the app on android smart phone is to plan the path for the small car and at the same time, tacking the small car. The interaction between the small car and the smart phone is based on the blue tooth link. The evadible system of the small car together with app control the small car arrives at the destination safely. The construction of the system including two parts: the android app and the intelligent small car.The developing of the app is based on the GPS location, the path planning is based on the Baidu Map navigation SDK. The setting of navigation origin and destination as well as path formulation and on-off-line strategy are all based on the mathematical function of LaunchNavigator.The location information could be acquired by the tool of SDK. The navigation instruction of the intelligent small car is produced by reciprocating positioning of the function of MainActivity.The instant messaging between Baidu Map on the smart phone and the GPS module on the small car is conducted by the technology of Bluetooth, then the real time navigation of the small car is realized.The control center of the smart phone is the STM32 microprocessor. The STM32 receive data of instruction and transmit data of location by Bluetooth. The smart car is composed of the GPS coordinate system, direction sensor, speed detecting module and the Ultrasonic avoidance system.The field test shows that, the smart car could arrive at the given destination by the navigation of the app on the smart phone and the function of path planning and tracking is realized.
