The Research And Development Of Test Center Monitor System

The rapid development of network technology and popularization of computer application, people can do online examination or examination based on computer by using these techniques, in order to reduce the teachers' workload and improve teachers' work efficiency and improve the quality of the examination, so as to make the examination more fair,more objective and more comprehensive. Computers can automatically make test paper and marking, this can not only save teachers' a lot of valuable time, but also can completely eliminate the subjective effects of candidates and can make the examination work more standardized,more objective, and more comprehensive to reflect the actual effect of the teaching, this can help teachers improve the quality of the teaching and realize the separation of teaching and examination. To prepare the lessons carefully and organize the teaching content comprehensively and improve the teaching methods are very meaningful for improving the teaching quality and the overall teaching level.This paper based on the general computer test platform which was development by the author's lab (general computer test platform:the system can finish the following functions:automatically to complete the test paper, database management of the test papers,students management,examination management,scoring,test analysis and system maintenance),focuses on the management of examination based on the function of the general computer test platform,that is the thing that in the traditional exam,the examiners need to do. Firstly, the paper analyzed the traditional examination so as to abstract the function of the test center monitor system,which mainly includes the set of the examination information,import the service pack, confirm the test information, import candidates'information package,confirm all the candidates' information,import the papers,notice the candidates to log, examination room monitoring and any other functions. Based on the function of the test center monitor system we will use Thrift communication service framework to complete the communication between the candidates and the test center monitor system,because in the process of communication data is exist in some form of the XML which is comply with the QTI standard ,as Thrift service framework has high efficiency in transfer larger volume XML files, so the choice of communication protocol is very reasonable.Finally, considering the importance of examination results,we need to consider the examination' safety performance,so we will use USBkey encryption technology and some other means to ensure the safety of the test center monitor system, through the continuous improvement ,testing and use of the system, to make a stable, efficient and safe test center monitor system.
