Heterogeneous network brings high flexibility in network deployment,it has become a new way to enhance network coverage and network capability.To find away to deploy a heterogeneous network and maximize its efficiency is the main goal when planning a network.A typical model of LTE-A heterogeneous network is formed by Macro Base Station and Low Power Node(LPN).Before deploying a Low Power Node,we need to know the coverage in current network,a traditional way is using automatic drive test or call quality test,but both of these two methods suffer high cost and low effect,make them not applicable on LTE-A heterogeneous network planning.As it is measured by UE or network equipment,LTE Measurement Report(MR)can truly reflects network user experience,and it also has advantages of low acquisition cost and rich content,which makes it useful in network coverage evaluation.On the other hand,because of original MR data lacks location information,it is hard to locate the exact area which suffers coverage problems by using MR only.How to use MR and location information to guide LTE-A heterogeneous network planning,is this main research content of this paper.This paper based on wireless network planning and optimization theory,trying to find an effective method to evaluate network coverage and deploy LPN,and verify the method by simulation.The main research result are as follows:1.As the original MR data contains dirty data,which makes MR data hard to process,this paper implements an effective data preprocessing method.2.Based on the principle of LTE positioning methods,implements a new positioning method by using MR data and coverage simulation result.3.Advancing an efficient LTE-A heterogeneous network planning method based on MR data and position information.According to the test data in real network,the LTE-A heterogeneous network planning method proposed in this paper is valuable in improving efficiency of LTE-A heterogeneous network planning.
